Overview:

Are you a proactive leader with a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment? Our client is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and manage the maintenance activities at their Sunshine North facility on a Fulltime basis Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm (overtime may be required during peak periods). In this role, you will provide leadership to execute all maintenance and repairs while ensuring adherence to safety standards and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Oversight:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance framework to ensure transparency, regularity, and clarity in maintenance programs.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance staff for both regular and breakdown maintenance.

  • Collaborate closely with the management team on operational matters related to repair and maintenance activities.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Maintain safe systems of work and integrity of equipment.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical business practices.

  • Ensure compliance with all legislation and laws governing operations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain a high degree of quality awareness in all maintenance activities.

  • Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Interpret and utilize key performance and financial data to enhance operations.

Supervision and Coordination:

  • Recruit, train, and develop maintenance department employees.

  • Manage works and contracts performed by external vendors and contractors.

  • Prepare work schedules and distribute tasks evenly among the maintenance team.

  • Control and monitor inventory of spare parts and equipment.

Project Coordination and Innovation:

  • Manage specialist projects and work alongside management and WHS team on safety initiatives.

  • Provide feedback on production processes and workflows.

  • Drive innovation to improve equipment performance and processes.

Ad-hoc Requests and Support:

  • Respond to changes promptly and accurately.

  • Support other employees during absences or leaves.

  • Troubleshoot system errors and advise on recovery solutions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in maintenance supervision or similar role.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
